It’s Getting REAL

I’m in the countdown to departure and reviewing and updating my itinerary. I’ve watched movies about some of the states through which I will be traveling, and looked up curiosities and oddities I might like to see along the route each day. There are potential campsites/hotels listed. I’ve added Google’s weather predictions. My photo album is already created with maps of where I’m going. I don’t think I have ever been this organized when it comes to vacation. 

Almost everything is packed except some perishables that I will buy last minute. Also, I need to remember small things like books and documents in case we end up in a different country. Looking at the weather, I am realizing I need to make sure the tent is super warm and comfy for the dog and me. Also, I need to make sure I have the appropriate gear for adventuring in areas if there is snow…hmmm…snowshoes? There was a thought of cross country skis and paddle boards…what a dichotomy of activities. We will see what happens. I’ll create a packing list next and make sure I have everything; despite the suitecase already being packed. It is review time. 

Now, if I can just get through the next few days of work, I will be more than ready to go. First day of work prior to departure and I have been cancelled. I’m hoping I will be put on call for the shift the day before my departure, but the extra money would certainly be nice. We will just have to wait and see. Crazy excited!!!
